Frequently asked questions

Common questions from Florida business owners.

What is a tangible personal property return?

A tangible personal property return is used by Florida businesses to report certain business-owned assets to the County Property Appraiser, whether leased, owned, or borrowed. Filing requirements and deadlines can vary based on the circumstances of the business and county procedures.

Can you help with a prior-year filing?

Yes! We can assist with organizing and preparing prior-year filing information. Results of late or prior-year filings are not guaranteed, and acceptance, valuation, exemptions, penalties, or other outcomes remain subject to the County Property Appraiser and applicable law.

Do you guarantee an exemption or reduced tax?

No. We do not guarantee an exemption, assessment change, penalty waiver, refund, or other outcome. Our service is filing assistance and document support.

Can a properly filed tangible return save me money?

Yes! If you do not properly file your Tangible Personal Property return, the Property Appraiser will force the assessment and add penalties. You will not qualify for the small-business exemption, and your assets will not be properly depreciated for assessment purposes. Proper filing can save you money, prevent unnecessary assessments, and ensure your assets are valued correctly.

Are you a law firm or CPA firm?

No. Tangible Filing Experts LLC provides filing assistance and administrative support. We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice.
